Bekah King is a 2013 graduate of Pearl High School.  She earned a Masters Degree in Education from Delta State University. Bekah lives in Pearl with her husband Brandon and their two golden doodles. A lifelong dancer, Bekah started in competitive dance at a young age. She has traveled and performed internationally with the Mississippi All-State Lions Band as a dancer and member of the color guard.  She competed all over the country as a Phantomette with Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp.  Bekah also served as Captain of the Hinds Community College Hi-Steppers while at Hinds. She was color guard instructor at Pearl High School before coming to Hinds in 2022 as Color Guard Director. 

Bekah is so happy to be at Hinds now Full-Time.  “It was such a hard decision to leave my second grade classroom after 6 years. I feel such a strong connection to Hinds Community College and I truly believe in helping young people reach their career goals through Community College. I am so excited to be a part of this AMAZING Band Staff and Hinds Community College family. I look forward to the future of the Hi-Steppers and Color Guard.”
