Program of Study
Our Film and Video Technology program, offered on the Rankin Campus, provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to find employment in the film and video industry. The program will give you the insight you need to work on feature films, television commercials, music videos, documentary films, internet multimedia, and other audiovisual media.

Our Film and Video Technology program, offered on the Rankin Campus, provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to find employment in the film and video industry. The program will give you the insight you need to work on feature films, television commercials, music videos, documentary films, internet multimedia, and other audiovisual media. You can complete the program in one to two years and earn a Career Certificate, Technical Certificate, and/or Associate of Applied Science Degree.

Mississippi has a robust film industry, but your training at Hinds Community College isn’t limited to one state. You’ll be prepared to handle a film and video career wherever you find yourself in the future. Whether you work in entertainment, advertising, or another related industry, you’ll have the skills and experience you need to succeed.
