Hinds CC 3E Winner ‘Cares for All the Kids’

Dr. Bobby Cooper received the 2024 Holtzclaw Award for his 45 years of dedication to his students.
“This experience is important to me, especially the travel experience. I think we need more projects like this because it’s a great opportunity for students like me, who otherwise would not have been able to go on a trip like this,” she said.
“This is a very important moment in my life,” said Kevis Johnson. “I’ve set a new standard in my home, for my kids and that means so much to me, and I’m proud that my kids can see me succeed.”
“Even on your worst day, there is always someone who wants to encourage you to be your best. Because here at Hinds, we are family, and that is what family is all about.”
A former inmate who was inspired to go to Hinds Community College when professors came to teach at her correctional facility has graduated.
Hinds Community College students of the Nursing Allied Health Center graduated in four different ceremonies this week.
Hinds CC graduating students will be speakers at all four spring 2024 commencement ceremonies.
Classes include hobby welding, welding and cutting technology, homeowners hVAC, homeowners electrical, small engine repair, and many more.
New members have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA on 12 or more transferrable credit hours.
