“Hinds Community College is one of those partners that I think does it (workforce training) better than anyone else in the state of Mississippi. They pour themselves into their community and into the people that live within their region, trying to help them where they are and give them hope,” said Ryan Miller, Executive Director of the Mississippi Office of Workforce Development for AccelerateMS.
“I have attended big universities and other community colleges, but Hinds is the one that stands out. They really take a hands-on approach to teaching.”

It’s the failures that shaped Olivia Williams’ experience in Hinds Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing program.
More than 850 students graduated from Hinds Community College in one of two ceremonies Dec. 15 at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus.
Although Blake faced hardships throughout her life, she was still determined to create a better life for her family.
“There are times when I want to give up, but I remind myself that I am here to set standards for my younger family members.”
