Transferring from Hinds’ Honors Institute to the University of Southern Mississippi Honors College will be a bit smoother now.
Featuring performances by top Hinds music students, sample classes in music industry, ceramics, band, choir, dance, and stage combat.
More than 600 high school students and parents toured the Raymond Campus and visited information booths to learn all about Hinds.
He will be honored along with other recipients at the 2023 Public Humanities Awards ceremony and reception 5:30 p.m. March 24 at the Two Mississippi Museums.
Hinds Community College has selected its first group of honorees in its new employee recognition program called IDEAList.

They pour themselves into their community and into the people that live within their region, trying to help them where they are and give them hope,” said Ryan Miller, Executive Director of the Mississippi Office of Workforce Development for AccelerateMS.
“I have attended big universities and other community colleges, but Hinds is the one that stands out. They really take a hands-on approach to teaching.”
