UTICA – Mr. and Miss Utica were crowned in a coronation ceremony on the Utica Campus, Oct. 16, 2024. Miss Utica 2024-25 is sophomore Da’Jnea Antoine of Grenada. Crowned Mr. Utica is Roy May, of Hazlehurst. The pair were also recognized at the football game during half time homecoming festivities.
Wilson is enrolled in the Radio & T.V. Broadcasting program on the Hinds Utica Campus. She is a member of the Hinds basketball cheer team and is a Resident Assistant for the campus’ residence halls. She is the daughter of Ieisha and Chancey Smith.
The 2024-25 Mister Utica is Roy Maye Jr., of Hazlehurst. Roy is the proud son of Lesia and Roy Maye Sr. He is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa and the TRIO Student Support Services program on the Utica Campus. Roy plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biology at Alcorn State University.
