PEARL – Jordan Olivia Watts, a Northwest Rankin High School student, and Alexandria Carr, a Park Place Christian Academy student, were the winners of [tweetable alt=””]full tuition scholarships to Hinds Community College for taking first place in the annual Rankin Campus Literary Festival on April 8.[/tweetable]
Watts won in the poetry category for “The Death Penalty.” Carr took the top honor in the essay category for “Our Greatest Resource.” In addition to the scholarship, both won $100, a medallion and certificate.

Second place winners won $50 and a certificate; third place winners won $25 and a certificate.
