Hinds Community College’s Assessment Center is now offering the certification test for Certified Medical Examiners.
Beginning May 21, 2014, all medical certificates issued to interstate truck and bus drivers must come from examiners listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners. This is a requirement of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The National Registry requires medical examiners to participate in required training, pass a certification test and register on the National Registry system to become a certified medical examiner.
Hinds’ Assessment Center at the District Adult Education Building is open 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every third Saturday.
