UTICA – Hinds Community College has completed renovations to the H.H. Davis Building on the Utica Campus.

An open house and brief program begins at 2 p.m. June 20 at the refurbished facility that houses the Barbering and Cosmetology programs on campus.

Those instrumental in the development of the campus and with the renovation will speak, including Hinds President Dr. Clyde Muse and Dr. Tyrone Jackson, vice president for the Utica Campus.

An additional 4,600 square feet of space has been added to the building, built originally in 1974. The renovation includes two classrooms each on the first and second floors. The second floor will connect to the Louis J. Stokes Student Union Building next door, which reopened in 2017 after it was also renovated.
