Dance Day
Prospective Students
High school juniors and seniors: you’re invited to Dance Day at the Raymond Campus of Hinds Community College! Sponsored by our Montage Theatre of Dance, Dance Day is for students who want to connect their passion for dance to their college education. At Dance Day, prospective students will attend masterclasses in ballet, modern dance, jazz, hip-hop, and African dance with Hinds teachers and students. You’ll also learn about dance opportunities at Hinds, plus get info on admissions, student life, scholarships, and more. So, come dance with us!
We hate we missed you!
It looks like we missed you for Dance Day. But don’t worry, you can still talk to a recruiter about the Dance program at Hinds CC. You can also schedule a private visit to check out and campus and meet with our amazing faculty.
When & Where
Schedule
- 9:15 a.m. – Registration at Bee Hall
- 9:30 a.m. – Ballet, Modern, and Jazz Dance
- 10:45 a.m. – Break and Info Session
- 11:00 a.m. – Tap, Hip-Hop, and African Dance
- 12:15 p.m. – Lunch
*School excuses are provided.
Cost
Dance Day is free, and attendees receive a free t-shirt! However, lunch is available for you to purchase in our cafeteria ($7.81, including tax), or you may bring your own lunch.
Attire
Masks are recommended for unvaccinated persons. Comfortable dance clothes and shoes (jazz shoes, barefoot, socks, etc.), conducive to jazz, hip hop, and modern dance.
