Nearly 400 Hinds Community College students will receive degrees in one of three summer graduation ceremonies.

“It gave me the connections I needed to get started,” Denson said. “I’ve been working on movie sets for seven years, now.”

“I have joined in the journey with several of you. It hasn’t been an easy one for everyone but you did it. You didn’t give up,”

“Collin is a very dedicated student. While he has faced some academic challenges he strives to continue.”

“Only about 30 students in the country earned that award,” said Tim Krason, the Honors Institute Dean on the Raymond Campus.

Dr. Sills has been with Hinds for 13 years as a Veterinary Technology instructor.

Deans’ Scholars are those students with a cumulative 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average.

President’s Scholars are those with a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.

“Graduation means the world to me, especially with the accolades and opportunities I’ve received. This has given me confidence and the much needed belief in myself.”

Twenty First Team members from across the nation are named annually with each receiving a $5,000 scholarship.
