Love Jones Party Poetry Event

This is a collaboration between Dr. Vanessa Wilson, Title III, I2=RG and the Mr. Cedric Smith, Entertainment Dept. We are featuring a Love Jones Themed Poetry reading event. Students and faculty will present live poetry with background music in a 90’s Neo Soul environment. Valentines refreshments will be served. The purpose of this event is designed to develop an appreciation for the beauty of language through creative expression. It will provide an educational experience to enhance the power of imagination. It will also allow students an opportunity to develop communication skills, build confidence, express their ideas clearly and practice critical thinking by presenting before an audience.
