Hinds CC recognizes All-Mississippi Academic Team

02/29/08 The Hinds Community College All-Mississippi Academic Team was recognized as part of the Feb. 22 Deans’ and President’s Scholars Awards Day. The team members are also the Hinds nominees for the All USA Academic Team, which will be announced later this spring.

They are, from left, Janet Koester of Vicksburg, a biology/pre-veterinary science major on the Raymond Campus; Apryl Trimble of Utica, an English education major on the Utica Campus; Taylor McCraney of Pearl, a graphic art and design major on the Rankin Campus; Emily Edwards of Vicksburg, a psychology major on the Vicksburg-Warren Campus; Kimberly Watson of Byram, a history and Spanish major on the Raymond Campus; Jerrica Stimage of Utica, an elementary education major on the Utica Campus and Rachel Swords of Vicksburg, an English major on the Rankin Campus.

As Mississippi’s largest community college, Hinds Community College is a comprehensive institution offering quality, affordable educational opportunities with more than 170 academic, career and technical programs. With six locations in central Mississippi, Hinds served more than 17,000 students during the fall 2007 semester.
