Landscape Management Technology (LMT)
The Landscape Management Technology program is designed to provide students with skills that could lead to employment in the landscape maintenance and landscape construction industries. It is a technical program offered by the Landscape Management Department of Hinds Community College. After successfully completing the program the student will be awarded the Associate in Applied Science degree from Hinds Community College. The Landscape Management Technology classes are offered on the Raymond Campus. A student seeking a career in this field of study will have abundant opportunities to develop personal and professional skills that will enable them to succeed within the green industry.

Areas of specialty training include but are not limited to the following:
Landscape Maintenance & Weed Control; Landscape Equipment Operation and Maintenance; Turfgrass Management; Plant Materials Identification; Landscape Business Management; Entomology and Plant Pathology

Irrigation Management Technology (IRM)
The Irrigation Management Technology program is designed to provide students with skills that could lead to employment in the residential and commercial irrigation industries. It is a technical program offered by the Landscape Management Department of Hinds Community College. A student may successfully complete the program with a Technical Certificate of completion after one year or continue for a second year and be awarded the Associate in Applied Science degree from Hinds Community College. The Irrigation Management Technology classes are offered on the Raymond Campus.
A student seeking a career in this field of study will have abundant opportunities to develop personal and professional skills that will enable them to succeed within the irrigation industry.

Areas of specialty training include but are not limited to the following:
Troubleshooting and Repair; Irrigation Installation; Irrigation Design; Irrigation Business and Shop Management; Pumps, Controls, and Relays; Irrigation Auditing

Landscape and Irrigation Management Technology Dual Degree
The Green Industry includes many areas of expertise a contractor must have. Often contractors are asked to service irrigation systems or install plantings or both. A Dual Degree in Landscape / Irrigation Management Technology offers graduates training and studies in both Landscape Management and Irrigation Management.

Graduates are sought after by industry and offer a company expertise in both areas. A Dual Degree in Landscape / Irrigation Management Technology allows students to enter the job market with two AAS degrees, one in Landscape Management and one in Irrigation Management. This program is a combination of the two technical programs and shows students the sequence of classes to follow. The length of the program is 2.5 years and includes 2 internships, one in each area.

Small Engine & Equipment Repair
The Small Engine & Equipment Repair program is designed to provide students with entry-level skills needed to compete in today's turf equipment technician industry. It is a technical program offered by the Landscape Management Department of Hinds Community College. A student may successfully complete the program with a Technical Certificate of completion after one year or continue for a second year and be awarded the Associate in Applied Science degree from Hinds Community College. The Small Engine & Equipment Repair classes are offered on the Raymond Campus.

Diagnostic skills; Mechanics Training; Sharpening and Grinding; Welding and Painting; Shop Management
