Raymond Elementary School


MS Reads

Individuals tutor an elementary student in reading one hour twice a week for 14 weeks at Raymond Elementary during morning school hours. The volunteer is assigned to one classroom where he/she work with students identified by the teacher. Tutoring sessions begin the third week of classes and end the last week of classes. Service stipends are available.

MS Math Masters
Individuals tutor elementary students in math one hour twice a week for 14 weeks at Raymond Elementary during afternoon school hours. The volunteer is assigned to one classroom where he/she work with students identified by the teacher. Tutoring session begin the third week of classes and end the last week of classes. Service stipends are available.

Raymond Campus

Learning Partner

Individuals tutor or mentor college students for two hours per week in the Reading, Writing, Math or Language labs. Volunteers must have completed 12 or more academic credit hours with at least a 3.0 GPA. Tutoring or mentoring sessions begin the third week of classes and end the last week of classes. Service stipends are available.

Peer Coach
Individuals organize and conduct a study group for an identified academic course. Volunteers devote five hours per week to working directly with a specific instructor and students within that instructor's class. Study group sessions begin the third week of classes and end the last week of classes. Service stipends are available.

Citizen Scholar Corps
Service opportunities are provided through Institute for Honors & Leadership Studies. Interested students may call 601.857.3531 or come by the office located in the Honors Center.
