Connecting Learning and Success to the Classroom
The Hinds Community College, Rankin Campus, through its Career and Technical Center, offers high school vocational courses in cooperation with the secondary schools within the Pearl School and Rankin County Public School Districts. The purpose of the secondary vocational program is to provide occupation orientation and basic employment skills that are associated with a specific occupation or career cluster. Thus, upon completing the program, secondary graduates are prepared to either pursue entry level employment in the particular occupation or continue their vocational or technical education in a post-secondary educational institution, often-times with advanced standing.

On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Hinds Community College, Pearl-Rankin Career and Technical Center, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you.
One of our Center's goals is "Connecting Learning and Success to the Classroom." Our faculty and staff are dedicated to providing a quality education and a safe learning environment for every student to be successful.
We are proud of our building that covers 80,000 plus square feet. All of the offices and classrooms are air conditioned, and all of the labs are equipped with the latest, modern equipment.
Our faculty meets the Mississippi Department of Education licensure requirements. With the 13 programs provided by the Center, we can offer additional programs of study for each home school served in the Rankin County and Pearl Public Schools Districts. The main objective of each program is to develop good attitudes toward the world of work and to teach the skills and knowledge that enable each student to enter the occupation of his/her choice.
