Start Something New with the BOT Fast-Track Program!
The Business & Office Technology Fast-Track Program is an intense, fast-paced program offering alternative scheduling options to a traditional day program. Set up in 8-week modules, students follow the OST option curriculum (see page 156 in the HCC Catalogue). Students can receive up to twelve (12) hours credit (4 classes) during each fall & spring semester while attending classes only one night a week per course. Designed as a hybrid program, courses are implemented as half instructor-led face-to-face courses and half online work. Using the 8-week module set-up, students focus on 2 classes per module with 2 modules offered per fall and spring semester. Combined with 2 mini-semester courses and 2 summer, hybrid courses, students can receive all first-year courses for the OST option in the same amount of time as a traditional day student.
 The completion of the first year courses allows the students to become a candidate for the Technical Certificate in Office Systems Technology after taking the CPAS Occupational Specific Exam. With the training received through hybrid-style courses, students will develop the skills to successfully complete the 2nd year of the OST option in their choice of course offering to receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business and Office Technology.
The BOT Fast-Track Program courses are offered in the evenings on the Raymond Campus to assist working students or those who cannot attend traditional day classes. The program is ideal for those wishing to further their higher education while developing specific career-related skills in office systems and applications. Employers benefit from the program by training their workers in the necessary business-related office skills imperative for a competent and fully-training office staff.
