Microcomputer Technology Program The Microcomputer Technology Program on the Jackson Academic/Technical Center Campus of Hinds Community College is a technical program designed to provide training in microcomputer operations in an office setting, including software configuration, troubleshooting, and systems operation.
Requirements for Admission Potential program majors: • Must meet all general admissions requirements (Refer to Admissions Procedures and Requirements, Hinds Community College catalog) • Students must provide a COMPASS score or an ACT score. COMPASS (by ACT), Residual ACT assessment, and/or national ACT assessment are the placement tests used to place Hinds students in appropriate courses. One or both of these tests must be taken prior to registering for classes. Placement test results assist the institution in advising, placing, and admitting students in appropriate course levels that match their skills and help students succeed.

Requirements for Graduation The Associate of Applied Science Degree is awarded upon successful completion of 70 semester credit hours of course work and the Career Planning and Assessment System Exam (MS-CPAS).
