Automotive Vehicles & Accessories Marketing
Goals The Automotive Vehicles and Accessories Marketing program is a one-year program designed to offer specialized classwork and instruction to prepare students to work with merchandise in the automotive after-market. This program includes theory, laboratory, shop work and other specialized learning experiences relative to receiving, stocking, selling and shipping merchandise. After successfully completing the program the student will be awarded a Certificate.

Employment Potential Employment opportunities exist for jobbers, distributors, retail parts stores, specialty shops, car dealers, independent garages, fleet garages, and service stations. Earnings vary somewhat with retail and service employers. Trucking companies and bus lines employ parts counter persons to maintain their stockrooms and dispense parts to maintain their fleets. Management trainees start at a rate comparable to other fields, but with good potential for increased earnings. Average starting salaries range from $6.50 - $12 per hour.
Costs Tuition and fees are approximately $900 per semester for full-time students. Successful completion of two semesters and a summer supervised work experience is required to complete the program with a Certificate. Students must purchase supplies and books at a cost of about $100-$175 per semester.
