Get a FREE WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate The Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is a credential that gives job seekers and employers a measure of workplace skills. It is being used by job seekers across the country as an employment credential, and by employers as an assessment of a person's trainable ability for an entry-level job or for a promotion within the company.
The WorkKeys assessment tests 3 areas:
- Reading for Information- comprehending work-related materials, from memos and bulletins to policy manuals and government regulations.
- Applied Mathematics- applying mathematical reasoning to work-related problems.
- Locating Information- using information from such materials as diagrams, floor plans, tables, graphs, and charts.
Certificate Levels Individuals qualify for a Gold, Silver or Bronze Certificate based on subject area scores. Gold: Score 5's and above Shows foundation skills necessary for 90% of jobs.
Silver: Score 4's and above Shows foundation skills necessary for 60% of jobs.
Bronze: Score 3's and above Shows foundation skills necessary for 30% of jobs. These certificate levels indicate to an employer who is a good fit for their job.
For individuals who do not pass the CRC on the first try, the assessment results will indicate the training needed to achieve the skill levels necessary to obtain a certificate. Hinds Community College will assist those individuals with increasing their skill level free of charge
